ShopDocs is a browser-based template builder for Australian Shopify merchants. It generates three ready-to-install documents for the free Shopify Order Printer app: a tax invoice, receipt, and packing slip.
All templates are fully customisable, ATO-compliant, and designed specifically for A4 printing.
No. If you can copy and paste, you can install the templates. The builder is visual and everything updates live as you make changes. Installation into Order Printer is a few clicks.
Order Printer is a free Shopify app made by Shopify that lets you print, download or email documents from your orders. Our templates are designed specifically for this app.
You can install it free from the Shopify App Store.
Yes. The templates work with Order Printer which is completely independent of your store theme. Your customer-facing store design is unaffected.
$39 AUD inc. GST. One-time payment. You get all three templates — tax invoice, receipt and packing slip. No subscription, no monthly fees.
Each purchase is licenced to one ABN. Your business name and ABN are permanently embedded in the template code. If you operate multiple businesses under different ABNs, you'll need a separate licence for each.
Since the product is a digital template that's delivered immediately, we don't offer refunds after delivery. If you encounter any issues with the templates, contact us at hello@shopdocs.com.au and we'll work with you to fix them.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. All transactions are in AUD and include GST where applicable.
Immediately after payment, you'll receive an email from ShopDocs with a secure download link. The link is valid for 7 days and allows up to 3 downloads.
Click the link, then copy each template to your clipboard and paste into Order Printer.
Contact us at hello@shopdocs.com.au with your order details and we'll issue a new link manually. Usually within one business day.
Yes. The templates are standard Liquid and HTML files. Developers can customise them further if needed. The embedded ABN is obfuscated but not encrypted.
Yes. The tax invoice includes all seven required elements per the Australian Taxation Office: ABN of the seller, date issued, identity of the seller, description of goods or services, quantity, GST amount, and the words "Tax Invoice".
For orders over $1,000 inc. GST, the buyer's ABN is also requested as required by the ATO.
Any Shopify product metafield can be displayed. We support text, rich text, numbers, booleans (Yes/No), URLs, URLs as QR codes, and images.
See our metafields guide for a full breakdown of each type and when to use it.
Your downloaded templates are yours to keep and customise as you wish. However if you want to use the visual builder again to regenerate new templates, you'll need a new licence.
Your design settings save in your browser automatically, so returning to the builder will bring up your previous work.
ShopDocs is currently optimised for Australian GST and ATO compliance. Non-Australian merchants can still use the templates but the tax labelling and ABN fields are specific to Australia.
